How lucky I have been in my life to have spent so many joyful hours in the company of teachers and librarians. As a child I looked up to them with such admiration and respect. As an adult I still do. I idolized them when I was young and continue to do so. They feed me books and knowledge and fill me with awe.
I’ve taken, throughout my life, what teachers and librarians placed before me like a baby bird devouring the offerings of its mother.
Last summer strawberry picking was made infinitely sweeter in Paul Dutton’s field flanked by two of my favorite librarians, Julie Reimer on the left and Sandra King on the right.
